Episode 399 – Vinyl and Cibachrome

This week, Glynn found the AR Studio app but was disappointed with the price (It is iOS, so what did he expect?).
He also came across 17 lighting recipes,
and this shootout between flash and natural light.
GoPro stock price has taken a big hit, and may very well soon be on the receiving end of a takeover bid from Xiaomi.
And check out these amazing composites, which represent hours of sport condensed into one image.
The prize list we have to giveaway for episode 400 continues to grow.
As already mentioned, we have the awesome Gnarbox original. If you want a chance to get your grubby mitts on that, send us your best travel photo or video. You know where to send it.
The good folk at Mindshift have come to the party with one of their newest-to-market bags, the Exposure 13.
And the guys at Black Rapid are throwing in an R-Strap, as well.
Glynn is still on the hunt for more goodies, too!

Adam sent us the story of the fella who bought a 10 year supply of Cibachrome paper when he heard that Kodak was ceasing production. Now, it’s a race against the clock to use the paper up before the chemicals break down.
He also sent us the story of the landscape/wildlife videographer who needed a 20x optical zoom for his work. He challenged Canon to build it, and they did!
And LargeSense unveils the world’s first single shot 8×10 digital camera.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.

You’re too hard on yourself, Glynn.
When you were lamenting your listener numbers in last week’s podcast and said “I’d just like to have one listener for every bloody episode”, I wouldn’t mind betting that some weeks you had two or even three listeners!
Meanwhile, I have to get back to the onerous task of finding the worst ever episode of Shutters Inc.
BTW – congratulations to you both on the big four-oh-oh. (But I think we all know who does the hard yards each week). I’m always disappointed when I click on the website and read ‘No episode this week’. Well done!
